Juan Jimenez

Juan is one of the original founders of Freedom Broadcast Group and is a key part of its ongoing success. He graduated from the Technical Career Institute (TCI) New York in 2004, and upon graduating he started at ABC New – New York, working on special projects, which included building new satellite trucks. He eventually went on to work for ABC News full-time, as a broadcast engineer.

During his 20+ years in the broadcast arena, Juan has also worked for Encompass Digital Media, and MetroVision as well as spending several years as a contract engineer. He has worked on several large-scale events such as Presidential Inaugurations, Presidential Debates, the 2011 Tsunami coverage in Japan, the 2010 earthquake in Haiti, as well as working in the White House, as part of the ABC News special projects engineering team for World News, GMA and Nightline. In addition, Juan has worked on other projects including, Sesame Street, Love Island, The Jacksons’ Concerts, League of Legends and the NBA and MLB All Star Games.

Over the span of his 20+ year career in broadcast television, Juan has helped advance the boundaries of broadcast production and transmission technology, and was instrumental in helping many clients make the difficult transition from analog to digital. Now at Freedom Broadcast Group, Juan has been involved in the building and integration of mobile units and studio control rooms, as well as overseeing all engineering aspects of full production and REMI model shows on both the studio and remote sides of the production.

His colleagues know him as being the “Swiss Army Knife” of engineering. Juan’s vast knowledge of cutting-edge technology, as well as his dedication and commitment, continues to forge a solid future for Freedom Broadcast Group.
